"Nothing's Gonna Change My World," it's title obviously inspired by a Beatles tune, is a song about speaking truth to power and clinging tenaciously to optimism. Plus, it's got a killer groove. Demo Derby, an album containing 16 home recordings (some unavailable anywhere else), will be released Fall 2013. Tell your friends! Support independent music!

Feeling Kinky? Vote For Me!
Are you a Kinks fan? If so, you may already know that the legendary band is currently holding a cover contest on the Talenthouse website. I chose the Dave Davies song "Strangers" from Lola Versus Powerman and the Money-Go-Round. To be creative, I gave it a rockabilly flavor, added a new intro, and snuck in a variation of the opening bass line from "Sunny Afternoon."
I've been writing songs for almost two decades. I'm good at writing songs, but I suck at distributing and promoting them. I don't network well. If I place high in this contest, it could be good exposure for my upcoming CDBaby releases. I also might get a chance to meet Ray Davies, one of my songwriter heroes.
Voting is easy and takes about 8.7 seconds. Just click here and then click "vote." I'm currently in the top 50 out of about 300 entries, but every vote counts.
